Oct 28th, 2019 - Nov 10th 2019

14 days at Grand Opening of "The Centre of Hope ",  Bali

Join Andrew Harvey, Lilly White, Dr. Scilla Elworthy and Banafsheh Sayyad for a once in a lifetime spiritual travel experience that includes the opening of the Center of Hope in Bali.

This is a two-part travel program, starting with a three-day grand opening celebration of the Center of Hope in Umabian, Bali. Participate in sacred ceremonies, enlightening talks, and meet the family of Agung Prana, a co-founder of the Center with Andrew Harvey and Lilly White. For the second part of this journey, you will travel to the oceanside paradise of Pemuteran for a workshop series with renowned spiritual teachers and local experts. This program is ideal for those looking to deepen their own spiritual practice in one of the world’s most beautiful and sacred places. You will be given practical tools for intuitive living and will return home with a profound sense of balance and well-being. You will also gain a deeper understanding of Sacred Activism and Sufism, their relationship to Balinese traditions, and how you can be a channel for peace in the world.

You are invited to join Andrew Harvey, Lilly White, Dr. Scilla Elworthy, Banafsheh Sayyad, and other spiritual teachers for an unforgettable travel experience in Bali. This program is divided into two parts, which perfectly complement one another. We recommend booking the full journey to fully appreciate Bali’s spiritual significance.

Part I

Part I of the journey is a grand opening celebration of the Center of Hope in Umabian, close to Mengwi. The centre is a place of learning that will bring together spiritual leaders and teachers from around the world. The essential vision of the centre is simple: to bring though the wisdom of sacred ancient Bali the most progressive and wise new thinking and support to the west, to help create solutions in every realm of science, art, economics and politics for our increasingly endangered world.

The Center of Hope was co-conceived by leading coral reef researcher and peace activist Agung Prana. Prana was the recipient of over 32 awards, including CNN Heroes, Asia award for his work on the Coral Reef Restoration Project. Sadly, Prana passed away in July 2018, but his dream of opening the Center of Hope with Andrew and Lilly is now being realized. On this program, you will meet Prana’s family during your stay at the Puri Taman Sari resort, a traditional Balinese compound owned by a member of the royal family. (See the Accommodations section below for more on this very special resort.)

The grand opening ceremony for the Centre of Hope will be held at the Taman Ayun Temple in Mengwi, and will be attended by members of the royal family as well as local and international spiritual and business leaders, artists, and economists. This is an unprecedented event and one that will inspire a fountain of creativity and hope for Asia and the world. There will also be talks and additional ceremonies as part of the opening celebrations.

Part II

After your time in Mengwi, Part II of this journey will transport you to the unspoiled village of Pemuteran in the north with its endless beaches and safe waters for swimming and snorkelling. This community was built on Prana’s vision of hope that implements community involvement, and the foundation of local wisdom was applied to every aspect of this village.

During your stay in this sacred oasis, you will enjoy workshops with Dr. Scilla Elworthy, Banafsheh Sayyad, Andrew Harvey, Lilly White, and other local spiritual teachers.

You are invited to gather together and learn new perspectives on ways to empower one another while discovering lifelong skills to grow, flourish, and expand. Among other subjects, you will learn about living in balance, tools for intuitive living, Sacred Activism, Sufism, Divine Love as well as Bali’s spiritual traditions.

Bali is known as the Island of the Gods because prayer and healing are constant daily rituals followed by all inhabitants here. In today’s fast-paced and often confusing world, it is more important than ever to return to the old traditions of sacredness. This program will give you the tools you need to make the difference in the world that you have always aspired to. The world is ready to receive your gifts – this program will help you manifest them.

The resorts chosen for this sacred journey are all owned and operated by the Taman Sari Group, founded by Agung Prana, friend and co-creator of the Center of Hope with Andrew Harvey and Lilly White. Although Agung is no longer with us, his values of eco-conscious tourism are ever present at the resorts. The Balinese concept of Tri Hitas Karana – the harmonious relationship between Man and God, Man and Nature, and Man and Society includes community involvement and the use of local wisdom and is the founding principle of the Taman Sari Group.

For Part I, you will spend three nights at the Puri Taman Sari resort compound in Megwi, home of Agung Prana’s family. The compound is located in a Balinese traditional village, nestled in shady coconut groves, surrounded by rice fields, with three rivers running through. This is your chance to see Bali as you would have found it in the 1920’s (but with all the modern conveniences!) The compound is owned by a member of the royal family of Mengwi, one of Bali’s main kingdoms of old.

For more information about the Puri Taman Sari, visit its website: http://puritamansari.com/

For Part IIof this journey, you will stay at Amertha Bali Villaswith views of mountains, gardens, and the Bali Sea. The luxurious Amertha Bali Villas Beachfront Resort and Spa is blessed with a magnificent location nestled on the crystal clear waters of Pemuteran Bay with a backdrop of nine majestic mountaintops. The Balinese believe the energy of the hills connects to the energy of the holy Bali Sea. Amertha was built on the foundation of community involvement and local wisdom was applied to every aspect of Amertha’s development. From the beginning, discussions were held with the village leaders of Pemuteran, and their ideas have been implemented into the resort experience.

In Part IIof this sacred travel program to Bali, you will work with world-renowned spiritual teachers for a series of workshops and a panel discussion.
